If you’ve seen the new Superman movie, then you might be asking yourself, “Since when has Jimmy Olsen had such a way with women?”
Uh…since always.
Jimmy Olsen was the original CEO of Swagger! Don’t believe me? Well, you’re in the right place. I’ve brought ten rizz receipts that’ll prove no one does it better than Superman’s best pal.

Jimmy Olsen, Musical Sex Symbol
Jimmy makes a career change in Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #8, leaving his job as a reporter to become a singer. Have you ever seen the way women react to K-pop groups? Multiply that by a hundred, and that’s the reaction Jimmy got.
“That husky, dream tone sends me,” one female admirer says. “More! We want more,” another fan cries.
Throughout the story, Jimmy is frequently mobbed by his female fans, who rip his clothes and shower him with kisses. The story ends with Jimmy retiring, which evens the playing field for people like Drake or Justin Bieber. Sorry, ladies.

Superwho? Lois Lane Falls for Jimmy
Lois Lane only has eyes for Superman? Not with a hunk like Jimmy Olsen around. In Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #21, Lois leaves the Man of Steel and gets engaged to Jimmy. The whole engagement was supposedly a wacky misunderstanding because Lois was too polite to tell Jimmy he misinterpreted her affections, but who are we kidding?
There were plenty of ways to get out of the situation, but Lois chose to spend multiple days as Jimmy’s fiancée. Don’t let her fool you into thinking she had no choice, because she did, and her choice was to grab some Olsen loving.

All Hail the Hollywood Rizz King
Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #33 contains a title page where six girls are fighting for Jimmy’s attention. Superman hides behind a tree (WHY??) and wonders how Jimmy got so tall. That’s Superman’s takeaway from the situation, not the numerous girls fawning over Jimmy. That’s because there’s nothing unusual about Jimmy being a thirst trap and the Man of Steel knows it.
The rest of the story contains numerous pages of Hollywood celebrities and European princesses begging Jimmy to marry them. Sorry, ladies, but winning Olsen’s heart isn’t that easy.

Jimmy’s Messy Relationship with Lucy Lane
I’m not exaggerating when I say that Jimmy Olsen and Lucy Lane have the messiest relationship in the DC Universe. Have you ever known two people who were great on their own, but as a couple they were just the worst? That’s Jimmy and Lucy’s chaotic romance.
I could write an entire novel on how toxic their romance was, but we don’t have the space here, so I’ll just do a quick roundup. Jimmy proposed to Lucy on their second date, but even after accepting the proposal, Lucy would continually cheat on Jimmy in order to get him jealous. They got married TWICE, with neither marriage lasting more than a day. And here’s the really crazy thing—their marriage ended both times because they cheated on each other with…each other. Go ahead and read that sentence as many times as you need to.

Can’t Resist the Olsen Rizz
Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #46 contains a story titled “The Irresistible Jimmy Olsen.” Jimmy’s charm is in overdrive this issue as women get into literal fist fights over who gets to dance with Jimmy. One Hollywood starlet threatens to throw herself off a cliff if Jimmy won’t return her love. Lois and Clark are surprised, but at this point they shouldn’t be. As skilled reporters, they should know that this is a typical Tuesday for Jimmy Olsen, ladies man extraordinaire.

Thirst Trapping the Legion of Super-Heroes
Jimmy’s charm is so powerful that it transcends the timeline. The young photographer takes a trip to the 30th century in Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #76, where he fights alongside the Legion of Super-Heroes as Elastic Lad. Needless to say, it isn’t long before three of the Legionnaires—Saturn Girl, Light Lass and Triplicate Girl—start fighting over who gets to snuggle up with Jimmy.
Yes, Jimmy’s sex appeal is so strong that it almost broke up one of DC’s most powerful superteams. When Jimmy returns to the 20th century, the Legionnaires claim the whole thing was a ruse to get Lucy Lane jealous, but a tease at the end indicates that their feelings for Jimmy were starting to become genuine. Olsen’s future is indeed bright.

Jimmy Olsen, B.C. Boy Heartthrob
Not only is Jimmy a sex symbol in the far future, but he’s also one in the far past. Jimmy travels back to 1,000 B.C. in Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #79, where he gets the idea to perform rock music centuries before the genre was created. (Hey, it worked for Marty McFly!) The prehistoric girls go wild, and who could blame them?
The important takeaway here is that Jimmy is the dominant ladies man in the past, present and future. The entire timeline has succumbed to his boyish good looks.

Yes, Jimmy Has an Army of Evil Exes
Jimmy’s years as a sex symbol have left behind a lot of broken hearts. This means that like Ramona Flowers, he has an army of evil exes. When Jimmy and Lucy once again try to get married in Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #100, his former girlfriends do everything they can to disrupt the occasion.
The dimensional imp Miss Gzptlsnz hexes Lucy’s lipstick, causing Superman to turn into a mole every time she and Jimmy kiss. A sorceress named Rona tries to turn their loved ones to stone. An alien named Dialla vows revenge. Unsurprisingly, Lucy isn’t into the evil ex vibe, so she ends the marriage. Again.

Just Call Him “Mr. Action”
At this point, you’re probably looking for examples beyond the Silver Age and that’s fair. So, let’s jump ahead to 1996. Jimmy Olsen has left his job at the Daily Planet and become a television personality at GBS. Thanks to his charming personality and boyish good looks, Jimmy’s a ratings sensation, making him a local celebrity.
He gets a taste of that celebrity in Action Comics #721, as a group of female fans mob him in the street. Take a look at these ladies and you might recognize them. That’s right, the charisma is so strong that it’s pulling girls from alternate comic book universes!

Even Supervillains Aren’t Immune
Don’t worry, Metropolis. Jimmy uses his superpowered swagger for good, rehabilitating supervillains, one femme fatale at a time.
In 2023’s Superman #5, Jimmy begins dating Siobhan McDougal—aka Silver Banshee. In the past, Siobhan’s caused untold amounts of destruction and has nearly killed Superman on numerous occasions. However, she’s gentler than a baby kitten when she’s around Jimmy. Their relationship has encouraged her to stay away from crime and become a better person.
Yes, you read that correctly. Jimmy’s sex appeal is making the world a better place.
Sorry, Dick Grayson, but the number one bachelor in the DC Universe is Jimmy Olsen. The next time you watch Superman, note how Jimmy’s charisma saves the entire planet. Not bad for a junior reporter.
