DC is celebrating Black History with the anthology Milestones in History, as well as Static: Season One, Batwing: Luke Fox, DC’s Represent! and YA Graphic Novel Mister Miracle: The Great Escape

Friday, November 19th, DC CONNECT #19 will be available online and in-stores, rounding up all the DC titles coming in February 2022, including titles celebrating Black trailblazers with the superpowered Super Heroes of the Dakota-verse, the launch of Aquamen, the triumphant return of Monkey Prince to DC’s comics, and the terrifying events going in Arkham Tower in the continuation of the weekly “Shadows of the Bat” event.

 

MILESTONES IN HISTORY

MONKEY PRINCE #1

Continuing from the pages of May’s DC Festival of Heroes: The Asian Superhero Celebration #1 anthology, DC’s Monkey Prince will return in a new twelve-issue comic book series from writer Gene Luen Yang and artist Bernard Chang. The series kicks off on Lunar New Year, February 1, with select covers wrapped in gold printed lucky red envelopes to celebrate! Marcus Sun moves around a lot because his adoptive parents are freelance henchpeople, and at the beginning of the series he finds himself as the new kid at Gotham City High School, where a mysterious man with pig features asks Marcus to walk through a water curtain to reveal himself as who Marcus really is…someone who has adventured through The Journey to the West, can transform into 72 different formations, can clone himself using his hairs, and is called…the Monkey Prince!

SHADOWS OF THE BAT CONTINUES

Things are getting dark in Gotham City in the weekly “Shadows of the Bat” event taking place in Detective Comics.
