DC Entertainment (DCE) announced today an action-packed celebration of the most iconic Super Hero team in pop culture history with “Justice League Day” on Saturday, November 18. “Justice League Day” will take place during opening weekend of the highly anticipated big screen debut of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Justice League, and the massive event will honor DC’s legendary Super Hero team with epic worldwide festivities.
More than one thousand comic retailers, bookstores, libraries, Six Flags Theme Parks and other partners around the globe will host “Justice League Day” activations, including distributing free copies of JUSTICE LEAGUE DAY #1 SPECIAL EDITION, which reprints The New 52 JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 by superstar creative team Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, and features new cover art by Ivan Reis. Digital retailers will also offer free downloads of the comic.
Extending the adventure beyond the big screen, moviegoers who purchase a ticket to see Justice League in participating IMAX® at AMC Theatres® from Nov. 16-19 will receive a JUSTICE LEAGUE AMC IMAX SPECIAL EDITION comic book while supplies last – a reprinting of JUSTICE LEAGUE #15 by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis. Fans who purchase tickets from Cinemark and Regal IMAX® theatres will also receive free digital comic download codes. Plus, limited-edition “Justice League Day” posters, temporary tattoos and fan-focused giveaways will be available at select retailers. DC All Access, DC’s award-winning original digital series, along with the DC Fans YouTube channel, will host special programming in support of the “Justice League Day” celebration. Justice League titles at Books-A-Million locations will be on sale Nov. 14-27 with a buy one, get one 50% off special offer.
