In this week’s issue of CYBORG, Victor Stone is once again a hero as he stops a heist in progress! However, his father, Silas Stone, is less than pleased as the reckless approach of his son (and the fact that he wrecked S.T.A.R. Labs in his urgency to get to the crime.)

As Sarah, the dedicated lab assistant, begins to run diagnostics after Cyborg’s recent excursion, she realizes that while all functionalities of the suit are fine, Victor’s mental well-being isn’t, as he confesses his belief that Silas Stone’s concern for his son is out of fear not love.

In an effort to cheer him up, Sarah decides to take him out for some fresh air and ice cream. While at Pingree’s Ice Cream, two young fans immediately recognize him as the hero Cyborg! But their reaction that he is merely a machine only confirms his fears—that there is no humanity left to him.

Sarah, determined to find a way to show Victor his humanity and spirit live on, decides to take him to a Jazz club in hopes that he will find solace and answers to these fears there. It’s here that his conversation with the kindly blind jazz musician makes him realize that even though the majority of his body had to be replaced, his soul has always remained whole. As they leave the club, Victor thanks Sarah for helping him find that part of himself he feared was lost.

And then this just happened:

KILG%RE has been awakened!
