An Unhealthy Obsession

The Per Degaton we meet in 2147 is a youth that looks up to Vandal Savage as his mentor. It's unlikely any school guidance counselor would approve of his choice, but...

In the comics, Per Degaton is a man obsessed with time travel that was first introduced in ALL STAR COMICS #35. Degaton's impatience got him into all kinds of trouble and he spent decades in prison in between acts like joining the Injustice Society of the World and continually trying to make history respond to his bidding.

It's an Eventful Place

The trip to the future reveals government has given way to corporations. The Kasnia Conglomerate is likely named after the country Kasnia, which has appeared repeatedly in DC's animated series. Kaznia arrived on the map in Superman: The Animated Series, and in Justice League, the heir to Kasnia's throne was manipulated by Vandal Savage. It's located near the Balkans.
