Did you think this was going to be a Superman vs. Batman story?

Sorry, you're going to have to wait until March for that!

(...or pick up BATMAN/SUPERMAN #26, on shelves now - no need to wait for a movie when we already have incredible S+B comics available!)

But that's not why you're here! You're here to see Superman slug it out with...

FRANKENSTEIN!!?

It's something we never saw coming, but it makes perfect sense. Greg Pak and Aaron Kuder have been telling some brilliant stories in ACTION COMICS, and the characters they use are often greusome and monstrous.

When this new epic began last month in ACTION COMICS #45, the Man of Steel was at a place where he'd been beaten and pushed to the brink in his quest to regain his powers. And so now in ACTION COMICS #46, is Superman turning to the dark side to repower himself? He's covered in a black tar that's making him stronger!

And Frankenstein? Who summoned him? What evil force is orchestrating all this?

Is the fury surging through Superman his own power, just heightened by the infectious tar? Is Superman a monster, the same as Frankenstein? And if there's a cure, will Superman even want to take it? Sound off in the comments below!

ACTION COMICS #46 is available in stores now! Story by Greg Pak and Aaron Kuder, words by Greg Pak, and art by Scott Kolins, Tomeu Morey & Pete Pantazis.
