TEEN TITANS: BEAST BOY, the Second Installment from #1 New York Times Best-Selling Author and Artist Gabriel Picolo, will Hit Shelves in 2020
DC announced today that TEEN TITANS: RAVEN, the fan-favorite young adult graphic novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Kami Garcia (Beautiful Creatures) and popular Instagram artist Gabriel Picolo, is heading back to press for a fourth printing. The news follows headlines detailing the book’s third printing announcement on August 21 and the second printing announcement on July 17.
Following its debut on July 2, the book was widely received from fans and press alike, selling out in multiple locations and garnering rave reviews from critics at TV GUIDE MAGAZINE, WE NEED DIVERSE BOOKS, KIRKUS REVIEWS, SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL, BOOK RIOT, YAHOO! ENTERTAINMENT and more! The book also maintained a spot on PUBLISHERS WEEKLY’s Bestsellers List three weeks in a row and held the seventh spot on Diamond’s Top 100 Graphic Novels in June.
TEEN TITANS: RAVEN is the debut graphic novel from Garcia and Picolo, and the first installment of a multi-part series that follows the coming-of-age journey of 17-year-old Rachel Roth. When a tragic accident takes the life of her foster mom—and Raven’s memory—she moves to New Orleans to live with her foster mother’s family. Raven remembers how to solve math equations and make pasta, but she can’t remember her favorite song or who she was before the accident. Her past and present begin to collide when more strange things happen during her final year of high school.
The Teen Titans adventures continue for Garcia and Picolo as they work on the second installment in the series: TEEN TITANS: BEAST BOY, set for release in 2020. A sneak peek of the forthcoming title is currently available in the back of TEEN TITANS: RAVEN. Fans can find TEEN TITANS: RAVEN wherever books are sold.
Fans attending this week’s New York Comic Con can hear Garcia and Picolo talk about both Teen Titans books at the DC panel, Super-Powered YA: DC Teen Reads for Your #TBR Pile, on Saturday, October 5 at 1:45 p.m in room 1A21. Attendees can also meet the author and artist in the DC booth at various signing events during the show.
