Yes, she’s been busy planning her wedding in the pages of BATMAN, but it’s been two years since Catwoman has had her own solo, ongoing series.

We don’t know about you, but we’ve really missed her.

So, we’re very excited to announce that this summer, Catwoman returns in a new monthly series written and drawn by none other than Joëlle Jones. Revealed during today’s Batman panel at C2E2, Selina’s new series will spin out of this year’s much anticipated Bat Wedding in BATMAN #50. But if you’re expecting a romantic tale set during a tropical honeymoon or focused on Selina and Bruce’s newly wedded bliss, think again. Catwoman’s back on the streets dealing with a mysterious copycat and taking on a brand new, as-yet-unrevealed villain in the Eisner nominated Jones’ debut storyline.

It’s actually been quite a weekend for both Jones and Catwoman. Along with the new series announcement, DC Collectibles also revealed the artist’s newest DC Cover Girls statue, which is—you guessed it—Catwoman! Click here if you’d like to learn more about the statue, but for a taste of what to expect from July’s CATWOMAN #1, enjoy this look at the breathtaking (and intriguingly meta) cover, along with the full solicit below…

The wedding night’s barely over, but Catwoman’s back on the streets, this time to expose a copycat who’s pulling heists around Gotham City. As Selina cracks the whip on her former criminal cohorts, she’s attracting unwanted attention from one of Gotham’s most dangerous groups. The mob? Nope. Try the GCPD. And as if the Bat-Bride didn’t have enough problems, there’s an all-new villain determined to make trouble for all nine of Selina’s lives. Don’t miss the start of an all-new monthly series written and illustrated by Eisner Award-nominee Joëlle Jones!
