Maxwell Lord

Played by Peter Facinelli in the show, Maxwell Lord ranks as one of the DC Universe's most dangerous supervillains. Distrusting of any being with superpowers and a bit of a megalomaniac, Lord has made it his personal mission to monitor, control, and if necessary dispose of any superpowered individual he deems a threat—whether hero or villain.

Al Plastino

A legendary comic book artist, Al Plastino worked with writer Otto Binder on the very first Supergirl story and worked on countless stories featuring the Superman, the Legion of Super-Heroes, and more.

Hellgrammite

Although an entire race of insect-like beings on the show, comic book fans may recognize Hellgrammite as a reoccurring villain of the Man of Steel that first appeared in Brave and the Bold #80. A human entomologist named Roderick Rose, the Hellgrammite conducted a mutagenic experiment on himself that transformed him into a grasshopper-like creature.

Jerry Siegel

A Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Famer, Jack Kirby Hall of Famer, and one of the most well-known comic book writers in the world, Jerry Siegel co-created Superman alongside artist Joe Shuster. Together, the writer-artist pair worked on many of Superman's earliest adventures.

Richard Donner

Also known for his work on The Goonies, Richard Donner directed the 1978 Superman film starring Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane. Donner also co-wrote with Geoff Johns the critically acclaimed "Superman: Last Son" storyline from Action Comics.
