Hollywood’s famous Walk of Fame includes stars devoted to such luminaries as Humphrey Bogart, Jack Nicholson, Audrey Hepburn and Steven Spielberg… and soon, Batman creator Bob Kane.

As revealed this morning by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Kane will be receiving a posthumous star in the category of Motion Pictures for his creation of Batman—a character who has successfully made the leap from comics to film more times than any other Super Hero.

The ceremony will take place on October 21, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. PST and will feature both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice filmmaker Zack Snyder and DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee as guest speakers, as well as the Batman v Superman Batmobile. (The Batmobile won’t be guest speaking. Instead, it’ll be parked there looking too awesome for words.)

While a star on one of Hollywood’s most famous landmarks is already an amazing achievement, it’s actually not the only one that the Dark Knight will be earning that day. The character will also be awarded the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Title for “Most Film Adaptations of a Comic Book Character.” Hey, no one ever accused the Dark Knight of underachieving.

Live in or around LA and want to go? Well, here’s what you need to know. First, unique giveaways are planned for fans in attendance, so as if seeing Zack Snyder, Jim Lee, the newest Batmobile and history being made weren’t enough of an incentive for you to go, you could walk away with some cool stuff. Second, costumes are encouraged, especially Batman costumes. If you’re a Batman cosplayer or just happen to have an old Batman Halloween costume in your closet, feel free to wear it.

So where is the ceremony? It’ll be located at 6764 Hollywood Blvd. in front of the Guinness World Record Museum. Live outside LA? Not a problem! The entire ceremony will also be live-streamed on www.walkoffame.com. Check out the site for more details.
