For the past 75 years, the Joker and Catwoman have left their mark on the streets of Gotham—and in the hearts and minds of Batman fans. They’ve appeared in comics, film, TV and games and have been brought to life some of the most talented artists in the business. Everyone has their favorite take on the characters, whether it’s their original Golden Age design, the colorful camp of the 1966 Batman TV series, the whimsy of the Tim Burton Batman movies, the dark danger of their current personas or anything in between. They’re classic comic book characters in every sense of the word, and DC Collectibles is excited to bring them both to life in two breathtaking new statues.

The DC Comics Cover Girls: Catwoman Statue, like much of the line, is based on the artwork of Stanley “Artgerm” Lau and is sculpted by Jack Matthews. With talent like that behind the statue, you know it’s going to look great, but you shouldn’t take our word for it. Go on and take a good look:

While we toyed with the idea of creating a Cover Girls Joker statue (no, not really), we felt like we should first introduce him to our quickly growing DC Comics Icons line, making this remarkable rendition of the Clown Prince of Crime the first villain to be added to the line. He’s sculpted by Alan Sales, and you can get a good look at the statue below:

Both of these statues will be available in December of this year. Here’s the rest of the solicitation info, in case you’re curious.
