 The Original Boss

Back in the 1940’s “Boss” Moroni was an early important villain in Batman’s career.  Later, his name was changed to Salvatore Maroni.  In Gotham, he’s greeted more formally as “Don” Maroni.  Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

An Award-Winning Cop

So now we know that Renee and Barbara once had a thing and Renee may not be entirely over it.

Det. Renee Montoya has become one of the more popular characters in the history of Batman.  Gotham Central Half a Life,  the storyline in which she was first outed as a lesbian won an Eisner, Harvey, and Gaylactic Spectrum Award and is seen as a milestone in the portrayal of LGBT characters in comics.

Invitation to the Blues

Not only are we loving Fish Mooney’s taste in clothes, but we dig her musical choices as well.  Listen carefully to the music in the scene where she’s speaking with Lazlo and you’ll hear the unmistakable voice of Tom Waits—balladeer of thugs, doomed lowlifes and the broken hearted.  Does it really mean anything?  No, but it just makes us love her more.
