When last we left Green Lantern (as written and drawn by Robert Venditti and Billy Tan), Hal Jordan and his new recruits were under attack by Larfleeze and an army of his intelligent constructs. Not much of a threat for the Green Lantern Corps, you say? Well, we mentioned these recruits were new, right? That’s new as in untested, right off the proverbial bus, will-be-lucky-if-they-survive-their-first-morning. Yes, these new Lanterns are in for a baptism by fire. They’ll either quickly rise as Green Lanterns or fall into Agent Orange’s clutches.

Of course, Hal Jordan isn’t the only one squaring off against greed incarnate this week. Pandora faces it as well, along with the other six Deadly Sins in eagerly anticipated TRINITY OF SIN: PANDORA #1, which also sees its release this week. Yes, after nearly two years of waiting and wondering, Pandora’s tale will finally be told. And what a tragic and often shocking one it is. Cursed for eternity simply for being curious, Pandora’s actions will have massive repercussions in the upcoming “Trinity War” crossover event, as well as in The New 52 as a whole. It all begins in tomorrow’s Ray Fawkes-written first issue. Missing it would be a…well, sin.

All this, plus plenty of Batman action in both DETECTIVE COMICS #22 and BATMAN, INCORPORATED #12, the start of a new storyline in GREEN ARROW #22, full-scale war in EARTH 2 #14, and a super-powered elephant teaming up with a talking school bus to save a society of frogs in DIAL H #14.

Yes, you read that right.
