On July 10th, REVOLVER MAGAZINE will be releasing their July/August “Mayhem Festival” issue. The issue’s cover salutes the tour’s headlining bands Slayer and Slipknot. Oh, and did we mention it’s illustrated by BATMAN artist and self-proclaimed metal head Greg Capullo?

The issue also features an in-depth interview with Capullo about his love of both comics and heavy metal. Curious how did he came up with the concept for the issue’s cover?

“I draw superheroes all the time,” Capullo told REVOLVER. “It came down to coming up with one of those classic clashing-titans images.”
