Engineer
As a child, Angela Spica enjoyed tinkering with computers and obsessing over superheroes. Little did she know that both of those hobbies would play heavily into her future.
Prior to becoming the Engineer herself, Angela was friends with the original hero to operate under that name—a man who had used technology to transform his body into a nanotech powerhouse—but was unaware of her friend’s double life as the Engineer until he was killed in battle. After his death, all of his notes on nanotech advancements were transferred to Angela’s computer. Believing she had been chosen to be his successor, Angela Spica would combine the original Engineer’s notes with recent studies on human-machine fusion and replaced her blood with liquid nanotechnology.
Angela’s transformation coated her skin with liquid metal and gave her a variety of powers. She can use her nanotech blood to shapeshift, manipulate and conjure machines, create weapons, fly, project force fields and much more. If something is technologically possible, then Angela can likely do it.
Calling herself the Engineer after her late mentor, Angela Spica joined the Authority and later Stormwatch, vowing to use her abilities to make the world a better place.
