Let’s be real. Harley Quinn is one of the hardest-working girls in the DCU. Between her time keeping the peace around Coney Island, leading the Gang of Harleys, breaking heads on her roller derby squad, flirting on and off again with the Joker, causing trouble around Gotham City and serving full-time on the Suicide Squad…well, we’re not exactly sure how she does it all. But it must be exhausting.

So, we totally understand why writer Sam Humphries would kick off his HARLEY QUINN debut by giving his girl a break. A little sand, a little sun and a whole lot of “me time,” and the erstwhile Dr. Quinzel should be back to her usual mix of mayhem in no time. At least, that’s the plan. Unsurprisingly, things go awry and Harley’s forced to take a little detour…to Apokolips. Yeah, we don’t know how she gets herself into these messes either, but that’s what we all love about Harley, isn’t it?

Anyhow, enjoy this exclusive preview of Wednesday’s HARLEY QUINN #45, which kicks off an exciting new era for the Maid of Mischief under new writer Humphries and returning artist John Timms.

HARLEY QUINN #45 by Sam Humphries, John Timms and Gabe Eltaeb is in stores this Wednesday.
