What do we know about the Reverse Flash?

DC Comics fans know that Thawne is a visitor from the 25^th century.  What they  may not know is that Barry Allen’s nemesis apparently started out as a fan and traveled back in time to meet his hero—The Flash.  Unfortunately his mind couldn’t handle all the paradoxes and, already unbalanced, he snapped and became the villain known as Reverse Flash.  In the comic books, the rivalry between good and evil will span centuries as the two speedsters play out a family feud drama that is literally one for the ages.
