Some of you might have noticed that we released a second Doomsday Clock clip yesterday. In the video, Geoff Johns shared a bit more about the upcoming comic book event, including the meaning behind a few of the panel images that have been released. (Who knew a simple cardboard sign could give us all the chills?)

Judging by most of the comments you’ve left for us on YouTube, you’re pretty excited about the whole thing. Heck, we’re pretty excited. There’s a whole mess of Doomsday Clock excitement going around! Which is why it’s such a big part of our New York Comic Con plans. Not only will you find Doomsday Clock graphics and goodies in our booth—which is number #SC4002 in the South Concourse, for those of you going to the show—but we’re hosting an entire Doomsday Clock panel on Friday night.

Held at 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the main stage, this can’t-miss panel will be moderated by author Lev Grossman, the bestselling author of The Magicians. In addition to being a great writer, Lev is also a comic book fan and scholar, who notably included WATCHMEN on Time Magazine’s list of 100 greatest novels. This sure-to-be-memorable panel will reveal additional pages from the debut issue before it debuts this November, with Johns sharing stories on how the project came together, what themes it’ll be tackling and what it all means for the DC Universe. In addition, he’s promised that everyone who attends DC’s Doomsday Clock panel will receive an exclusive item they won’t be able to get anywhere else.

But cool swag aside, this panel is really about the remarkable insight it promises to provide into a once-in-a-generation comic book project. Even if you’re not going to be at New York Comic-Con, you’re not going to want to miss it—and you won’t have to. We’ll be livestreaming the entire panel on the DC Facebook Page. You can watch the entire thing live from the comfort of your living room couch. With your shoes off. Eating a can of beans while streaming the Watchmen movie in the background, if you’re so inclined. The point is that you don’t actually have to be in New York to get all the latest on what’s sure to be the comic of the year.

For more information on the Doomsday Clock panel, along with all of our other New York Comic Con happenings, be sure to visit our official NYCC page. Just make sure you know where you’ll be when the clock strikes six on Friday.
