Not Time for That Fight

At Taiana's request, Oliver stops her and the power of the idol. This means she's not able to use her new abilities against Kovar. If you recall, she mentioned wanting to stand up to the Russian dictator in the last episode.

Leonid Kovar is also known as Red Star in the comic books. He made his debut in TEEN TITANS #18. Red Star received his superpowers of energy projection and enhanced strength and speed from an exploding alien spaceship. He was a member of the Teen Titans in these earlier comics. However, in the Flashpoint timeline, Red Star was a member of H.I.V.E.'s council.

Will He Deliver Light?

After giving another rousing, optimistic speech to the citizens of Star City, Oliver is granted the mayoral title until they can hold another election. In the comics, Green Arrow has had a couple brushes with being the mayor of Star City. He campaigned for the position in WORLD'S FINEST #255, but lost to his opponent Ralph Halstead. Then, over two decades later, Oliver Queen successfully became mayor in GREEN ARROW #60.
