No, we haven’t cracked open the comic industry Multiverse and unleashed a flurry of alternate universe Scott Snyders, Jeff Lemires and Jim Lees into the world. We’re just referring to the two major reasons you may want to hit the comic shop tomorrow if you’re a DC Comics fan.

The first is that tomorrow sees the release of the latest issue of Grant Morrison’s Multiverse-hopping opus, The Multiversity. THE MULTIVERSITY: PAX AMERICA #1 is set on Earth-4, the world of the Question, Captain Atom, Ted Kord’s Blue Beetle, Peacemaker and others. As many of you know, these are former Charlton Comics characters, and they were the models for Alan Moore’s Watchmen. Which is a roundabout way of saying that if you like Watchmen, this week’s issue of The Multiversity is a can’t-miss. But if you need further convincing, try this one on for size: It’s drawn by Frank Quitely. Look, we don’t need to tell you that when Morrison and Quitely work together, amazing things tend to happen, and Pax Americana is no different.

However, there’s far more happening tomorrow than that All-Star comics reunion. Tomorrow also marks the debut of Wonder Woman’s brand new creative teams. (Yes, plural.) By now you surely know about Meredith and David Finch coming on board her solo title as writer and artist, respectively. But tomorrow also finds Peter J. Tomasi and Doug Mahnke taking the reins of Superman/Wonder Woman, Diana’s team-up title with the Man of Steel. And that’s not all! Justice League gets an awesome new artist in Jason Fabok (you remember him from Detective Comics and Batman Eternal, right?), while Kara Zor-El gets an exciting new voice in writers Mike Johnson and K. Perkins. (You caught Ms. Perkins on DC All Access last week, didn’t you?)

Yes, it’s a great week for comics, and we haven’t even touched on everything. You’ll also want to look for new issues of Batman/Superman, Harley Quinn, Batwoman, Batman Eternal, Teen Titans, Batman and Robin, Fables, Earth 2: Worlds End and more.
