As you may know, today marks the release of Scribblenauts Unmasked – A DC Comics Adventure, the first game to combine the awesome action of DC Comics with the problem-solving puzzle perfection of the Scribblenauts franchise. Now, just in case you’re new to the world of Scribblenauts, let’s start by making one very important fact clear…

It’s not just for kids.

Yes, it may have a youthful, whimsical look to it and Scribblenauts Unmasked – A DC Comics Adventure IS the perfect game for all of the younger DC Comics fans out there, but it’s all ages in every sense of the term. In fact, with 1,700 heroes and villains in the game (including a whopping 22 Supermen alone, fer cryin’ out loud) there are enough characters and references within the game to surprise even the most knowing, passionate fans.

Why’s that? Because the team behind the game are also knowing, passionate fans. The sort of knowing, passionate fans that like doing fun things, such as recreating some of the most iconic DC comic book covers, Scribblenauts-style and then giving them to us to share with you as exclusives!

Up first is one of the most classic covers to ever see print. The Dynamic Duo in rope-swinging, cape-flowing action as first conveyed by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson on the cover of 1940’s BATMAN #1. You can see their beloved cover below, followed by the Scribblenauts version.
