It’s the Monday after Comic-Con, and much of the DC Comics office is working furiously to respond to all the emails that came in over the weekend (we’ll see which arrives first—the bottom of their inbox or Labor Day). However, that’s not about to stop us from bringing you our weekly collection of new comic previews. Not on a week like this. A week that brings with it the third chapter of “Trinity War” (in Justice League Dark #22), the second issue of Batman/Superman, and an icy new issue of Aquaman.

Let’s talk about Aquaman for a moment. Over the weekend, we caught the premiere of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, the animated adaptation of the Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert miniseries. If you’ve read the comic, you know it’s set in an alternate world. And guess what? In this alternate world, Aquaman is a total, not-messing-around complete and utter badass. Seriously. You may not like Flashpoint’s version of Aquaman, but you will respect him. And therefore, Aquaman #22 appears right at the top of our list of previews because, man, we really don’t want to upset Aquaman in the off-chance that the Flashpoint world returns and he finds out. The dude’s downright scary.

Though on the cover of his latest issue, it looks like he’s moved beyond cool into straight-up frozen territory.

Of course, it’s not all Aquaman this week. In addition to the aforementioned “Trinity War” and Batman/Superman, we also have new issues of The Flash, Batman: The Dark Knight, Larfleeze, The Green Team: Teen Trillionaires, Superman, Constantine and more!
