Between Man of Steel, Superman Unchained and “Zero Year,” it’s not surprising that Superman and Batman have been stealing much of the DC Comics spotlight. But if DC COMICS – THE NEW 52 has taught us anything, it’s that our spotlight is large and easy to share (and it also makes a nifty batsignal, if you turn it upside down and paint a giant bat on it).
This week sees the release of GREEN LANTERN: NEW GUARDIANS #21, which features the debut of the new creative team of Justin Jordan (Superboy, Team 7) and Bradley Walker (Action Comics). New Guardians has proven to be one of the most surprising Green Lantern titles, and this latest issue proves to continue in that tradition, as Kyle Rayner gets trapped between a rock and a hard place in his newfound role as White Lantern.
Also of note this week is that many of our comics feature our awesome New 52 heroines. Batwoman wrestles with Killer Croc, the Birds of Prey team up with Talon (in a storyline that continues later this month in TALON #9), Batgirl gets involved in Batman’s quest to bring back Damian, Wonder Woman’s family drama continues and Supergirl gets punchy with Mekka.
