Talk about a no-brainer, huh? When something works, it works. And that's the case with BLACKEST NIGHT and the two titles directly linking to it, GREEN LANTERN and GREEN LANTERN CORPS (that's the cover to GLC #45 above). So it makes perfect sense to announce that one of the architects of this year's BRIGHTEST DAY event, Peter Tomasi, will be sticking around the DCU for a couple more years. So, in addition to plugging away on an epic GLC run, Tomasi will be pairing up with Johns to grapple with the post-BLACKEST NIGHT DCU. What say you, Pete? "I'm excited to be a part of all the great stuff that's happening here at DC Comics. I love working on these iconic characters, and there's so many incredible stories coming down the pike that it's truly gonna be a helluva ride. With BRIGHTEST DAY and the GREEN LANTERN franchise on my things to do list, along with several other amazing projects in the works, continuing to make DC -- which has given me the ability to do smaller personal projects like LIGHT BRIGADE and THE MIGHTY to broader epics like GLC BLACKEST NIGHT and BRIGHTEST DAY -- my exclusive home was an easy choice to make." And we're glad to have you.
