Jim Fletcher is the Creative Director of DC Direct, the highly regarded collectible division of DC which is one of the largest publishers of comics and graphic novels in the world and home to some of the most iconic and recognizable characters ever created. Joining WarnerMedia in 2004, Jim has served as the creative leader for all DC collectibles products since 2010, and spearheaded many of the department’s most impactful initiatives. During his DC career, Jim designed the Ame-Comi PVC statue series, Uni-Formz designer vinyl figures, DC Core PVC statues as well as many battle statues and props. He also co-founded the fan-favorite DC Bombshells line and oversaw the development of the DC Designer series statues and the unique Artist’s Alley program. He guided the Batman Black and White statue series to include more than 100 statues. Jim also spearheaded some of DC ‘s longest running, successful action figure lines -- Batman the Animated series, Justice, Blackest Night and the various Arkham video game collectible figures, all highly prized by collectors. Jim has also art directed numerous products for almost every major film release since joining DC.

A native of Setauket, New York, Jim is a self-described illustrator turned toy designer. At the start of his career, he ran his own design and illustration studio. He also had a stint working in the garment center in NYC, an experience that would help shape him into the talented and creative artist he has become.

As his interest in toy collecting grew, he eventually focused his career path on this unique specialty.

Jim’s early comic book credits include illustrations for the Savage Sword of Conan and a collection of stories in Heavy Metal Magazine. Jim’s character and logo designs have appeared in various editorial initiatives and videogames.

A lifetime musician, Jim has been in several bands and played at the legendary CBGB’s! A true artist and fan, Jim has been interviewed by local and national media to discuss everything from comics to design, and of course all things DC.
