Who wants to take a trip? Your summer travel plans may have gotten trapped in the Source Wall, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t go adventuring…we just have to get a little bit more creative about how we do it now.

And, fortunately, there’s a brand-new way to explore one of DC’s most iconic and mythical places. Plus, you won’t even have to worry about airport parking, middle seats, or lost luggage. If that sounds like a “W” to you, that’s because we’re talking about Wonder Woman and her homeland of Themyscira.

Thanks to our friends at Roblox, Themyscira is now open to your tourist avatars, so let this blog be your boarding call to see everything that awaits inside this paradise island landscape! Welcome, everyone, to Wonder Woman: The Themyscira Experience!

Pack Your Bags

This is Roblox we’re talking about, so you know a major part of the journey will focus on how you can deck out your avatar to be the biggest Wonder Woman fan you can be. Want some armor? They’ve got it. Want a sword and shield? Of course you do. How about Diana’s luscious locks of hair? That was a rhetorical question.

As of now, there are eight different items that you can choose from. But don’t worry, after you’ve filled up your suitcase, you’ll have a chance later on to snag even more. And, as we get closer to the release of Wonder Woman 1984, we’re wishing upon a Themysciran star that some of those new items will be inspired by the film!

You’ve Got Questions…We’ve Got Quests

But how can these treasures be yours? You’ll need to earn some special gold coins in order to grab this gear, and there are plenty of opportunities all over the island to ensure that you’re fully stocked.

Let’s be honest, though. It’s not just about the gear. It’s about actually exploring Themyscira and training alongside its warrior inhabitants. That’s how you’ll become a hero, and that’s how you can work toward becoming an island champion just like Diana did.

As you can imagine, Amazonian training has a ton of different layers and expectations, and that’s exactly what makes this crossover so fun. There are such a wide variety of quests that you and your friends can go on. So many, in fact, that we can’t even cover all of them in one blog post! Instead, we’ll help you identify some key landmarks that’ll serve as useful starting points, and then you’ll be off and running (but we’ll still be here for moral support).

The most important landmark is essentially your home base for The Themyscira Experience—the Main Temple. You’ve seen it in the trailers and you’ll probably be able to spot it pretty quickly once you arrive on the island. When you do, just cross the bridge and head straight inside where you’ll find the champion herself: Wonder Woman. Also, surprise! That’s actually your first quest, meaning that you’re already on your way to racking up all of the Amazonian rewards.

Before we go any farther, it’s worth noting that there is an in-game guide to help you navigate the island and point you toward different challenges. Definitely tap into that and follow along as best you can because there’s technically a specific order in which you can tackle these various missions (you know, in case you’re a chronology aficionado).

If you’re not and would prefer to roam aimlessly (guilty as charged), that’s totally fine as well! The more you explore, the more likely you are to find those same quests and challenges along the way. Another location that plays a key role in this is The Armory. It’s where all of the weapons are forged, making it one of the coolest places in the entire DC universe. And now you can just drop in anytime you’d like for a visit!

To help you find The Armory, a good frame of reference will be The Oracle’s Temple, which, as fate would have it, is home to a series of its own challenges that we won’t cover here. If you look directly across from it, however, you’ll see some stairs and another building behind a waterfall. Take those stairs, enter the building, and head down another set of stairs until you encounter a dark hallway. Continue following that path and you’ll find yourself directly in the center of The Armory. And, when you do, you’ll be able to: 1) open up a portal between The Armory and the Main Temple for easier passage and 2) partake in a quest from Artemis to forge a sword!

Oh and, although it’s a paradise island, we’re sorry to say that Themyscira has a bit of a pest problem—the place is overrun with rats! Both Artemis and a warrior known as Aella will warn you about these rascals and ask you for some help in getting rid of them. If you’re up for it, you’re in for more rewards! And, if you’re crafty enough, this is actually a challenge you can repeat endlessly in order to keep racking up all those coins that you need to get your goodies.

Bon Voyage

While it’s time to say goodbye here, rest assured that the above is just a small taste of everything that awaits you in Wonder Woman: The Themyscira Experience! There are beaches to play on, camping trips to start, and mountaintops to climb.

So get those (digital) steps in now and make sure you’re in shape for DC FanDome this August! We’ll have a bunch of different areas for you to explore, all of which will bring you even closer to your favorite locations and stories from our comics. We’ll see you there, and we expect you to have a Themyscira stamp on your passport when we do!
