It’s always a fun event when fandoms are given the chance to clash, creating an exciting crossover that many can only dream of. As the DC NEW CROSSOVER CLASSICS panel concludes here at SDCC, fans were shown tales from this past year—and given a look at what’s to come!

Moderator Jason Inman from DC All Access joined DC’s Jim Chadwick and Hank Kanalz as well as the writers and artists to some of amazing crossovers from this past year including BATMAN/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TUTLES with IDW, GOTHAM ACADEMY/LUMBERJANES and BATMAN ’66 MEETS STEED AND MRS. PEEL, both co-published with Boom! Studios. Plus fans were treated to a first look at the recently announced THUNDERCATS/HE-MAN series.

Writer James Tynion IV and artist Freddie Williams discussed the popular BATMAN/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES miniseries, available in a collected edition on August 23. Williams also talked about the recently announced THUNDERCATS/HE-MAN crossover with Mattel Head Writer and Masters of Universe Lead Creative Rob David and Supervising Producer Lloyd Godlfine.

Boom! Studios editor Dafna Pleban joined the panel with GOTHAM ACADEMY/LUMBERJANES writer Chynna Clugston-Flores to discuss the first ever crossover, as well as the Digital First BATMAN ’66 MEETS STEED AND MRS. PEEL from writer Ian Edginton and artist Matthew Dow Smith.

And SUPERGIRL/MIDNIGHTER writer Steve Orlando discussed the recently announced crossover within the DC Bat family, “Night of the Monster Men,” spanning over BATMAN, NIGHTWING and DETECTIVE COMICS this fall.
