Want to know what it takes to be an artist for DC? Fans at Emerald City Comicon 2016 just got that exclusive, as the panel for ART MASTERS: DRAWING DC just concluded!

The panel, moderated by DC’s Events Director Fletcher Chu-fong, gave fans and aspiring artists a chance to hear from some of DC’s best! The panel included the incredibly talented Chad Hardin, Carlo Pagulayan, Emanuela Lupacchino, Philip Tan, and Stephen Segovia! All these artists are working on a Rebirth title in June and beyond, so were challenged to draw a character from one of their upcoming series.

Panel attendees got a chance to hear from each artist on their visual approach, influence, and their stories that led to them working with DC on a variety of incredible titles. Fans learned first-hand how some of their favorite DC books came to life!

Chad drew Harley Quinn in a harlequin costume for Harley Quinn, Philip drew a grinning portrait of The Joker inspired by Suicide Squad, Carlo drew an incredibly detailed Slade Wilson for Deathstroke, Emanuela switched things up and drew a stunning Wonder Woman, and Stephen drew Superman, showing all the action he'll bring to Action Comics.

If you weren’t able to make the panel, you can always check out Harley Quinn or The Adventures of Supergirl, and even more titles on shelves today from these incredible artists! Feel free to also search the DC blog at DCComics.com!
