SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read EARTH 2: WORLD'S END #4 yet and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).

To say that EARTH 2: WORLD'S END #4 is filled with surprises and shockers is an understatement.

This week’s issue is PACKED with reveals and begins with Jimmy Olsen learning that the mysterious mother box has chosen him.  The box should have destroyed Jimmy when he touched it, but for some reason it purified his body and mind instead.  So, what exactly did the box choose Jimmy for?....We’ll just have to wait and see!

Directly following the Jimmy incident, Fury demands to know why the mother box didn’t purify her mind. However, in the process of uncovering the reason, she finds out that her father, Steppenwolf, murdered her mother and has been using her as a weapon! Will Fury seek revenge on her father?... Again, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Among these and other surprises, the biggest reveal of this issue happens in Geneva where Batman and his team are searching for the crux of all destruction on Earth 2.  Certain that the source is deep down in the firepit, Desaad unexpectedly traps them and declares that he is the Master of the Four Furies!
