Some people look for love in all the wrong places. Other people look for love in an insane Asylum and actually find it. It's a crazy little thing, that thing called love—and when it comes to the insanely popular (and clinically insane) DC Comics character Harley Quinn, well, you'd be crazy not to love her.

Created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini and first appearing in the Emmy Award-winning Batman: The Animated Series, the adorable Harley Quinn quickly won the hearts of fans with her fun-loving and bubbly, and admittedly psychotic, personality. Since then, the villainess originally known as Joker's Girlfriend has gone on to stand beside her on-again, off-again beau as one of the most recognizable and popular members of Batman's rogues gallery, appearing in multiple animated series, comic book titles, and video games, and cosplayed by at least 10 fans at every comic convention held the world over.

After starring in Suicide Squad with the launch of DC Comics—The New 52, Harley has since busted out on her own with an all-new self-titled series, whose second issue smashed its way through the fourth wall and into stores Wednesday. As such, this week we decided to celebrate the crazed criminal with 5.2 Reasons You'd be Crazy Not to Love Harley Quinn!

1. She's Hilarious

Harley has a lot of great moments of hilarity from throughout her comic book and animated entertainment history, but hands down one of our favorite bits is when she asks Joker if he wants to "rev up his Harley." Amazing.

2. She Kicks Ass

Despite Harley's bubbly personality, you seriously don't want to get on her bad side. She stands toe-to-toe with some of the heaviest hitters in Gotham City and her athletic ability puts even the best Olympians to shame. Not to mention the giant mallet she carries around.

3. Mad Love and Harley and Ivy are Brilliant

Both stories were written by Paul Dini and drawn by Bruce Timm, so that alone should sell fans, but beyond that, both the Mad Love one-shot and Harley and Ivy limited series are hilarious and fun reads that encapsulate every reason we fell in love with her in the first place.

4. She'd Kill Us if We Didn't

Like we said earlier, she's literally a crazy person.

5. The Harley Quinn Series is Fantastic

It's been a while since Harley headlined her very own title, but with the launch of Harley Quinn, she's back on top in a very big, very awesome way. Written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti with art by Chad Hardin, the series is full of jokes, fun, mayhem, and fourth wall shenanigans, that reminds us of all the ways Harley rocks.
