If you thought last week was bad, well… You were right.

In fact, this whole month is going to be pretty bad. That’s what happens when you let super-villains run rampant in the pages of DC Comics – The New 52, and that’s precisely what we’re doing this month. This week serves up a second helping of havoc and hellfire, offering up one-shots devoted to the likes of The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Black Manta, Brainiac, Harley Quinn, The Court of Owls and more. Including one guy who you may have seen on movie screens this summer…

That’s right, Zod has stormed into The New 52, and he’s looking to heat things up around Metropolis. (Literally, if that cover is any indication.) This week’s ACTION COMICS #23.2: ZOD is written by Greg Pak, who’s also the writer of Batman/Superman. Does this mean we’ll see the Kryptonian general show up in the pages of that new ongoing series? Only time will tell.

And speaking of time, this week also promises to clear up some of the mystery revolving around a certain time traveling villain from Keystone City. Yes, in last month’s THE FLASH #23, we finally learned the identity of The New 52’s Reverse-Flash. But that’s just the beginning of the story. This week we delve deep into his past to discover what warped him into such a twisted Speed Force-powered problem for Barry in THE FLASH #23.2: REVERSE-FLASH. It’s a fast-paced tale brought to you by series co-writers Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato and drawn by Scott Hepburn!
