At today’s Super-Powered YA: DC Graphic Novels For Your #TBR Pile panel at San Diego Comic-Con, DC gave fans the inside scoop on its new young adult graphic novels and revealed exciting first looks at upcoming titles debuting in 2020.

The panel included acclaimed authors Kami Garcia, Danielle Paige, Michael Moreci, Melissa de la Cruz, Sarah Kuhn, Louise Simonson, and fan-favorite artist Gabriel Picolo.

Audience members enjoyed a lively discussion surrounding Garcia and Picolo’s mystical hit Teen Titans: Raven, and heard Paige delve into her splash-worthy take on the Seven Seas’ fiercest princess in Mera: Tidebreaker -- both of which are on sale now.

The focus then shifted to upcoming YA titles and offered Sarah Kuhn (Shadow of the Batgirl), Michael Moreci (The Lost Carnival: A Dick Grayson Graphic Novel), and Melissa de la Cruz (Gotham High) the first chance to discuss their unique takes on Cassandra Cain, Dick Grayson, Bruce Wayne, and Selina Kyle, among other iconic DC characters. Louise Simonson also shared details about her adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s Wonder Woman: Warbringer prose novel. The conversation closed with a preview of never-before-seen interior artwork from each of their books.
