Yes, we know. You’re hungry for more “Trinity War.” Believe us, so are we, and the next installment will be here soon (next week, as a matter of fact). But that doesn’t mean that we’re taking a break this week. No, if you’re following “Trinity War,” then you definitely want to pick up TRINITY OF SIN: THE PHANTOM STRANGER #11 this week for a key part of the story. Who truly murdered Doctor Light? It would seem to be Superman, but no one’s really buying that. (I mean, come on!) But unfortunately, there’s no alive with any real answers.

So it’s time to ask the dead.

The Phantom Stranger #11 has the Phantom escorting Deadman, Batman and Katana into the afterlife to talk to Doctor Fate, but as the below USA Today preview and interview reveal, this journey is not without complications.

And on the subject of complications, we can’t think of a more complicated relationship than the one at the heart of Trillium, Jeff Lemire’s brand new Vertigo series. William Pike is a soldier in 1921. Nika Temsmith is a scientist in 3797. We’re not even sure how these two are going to meet, let alone start dating. However, since the series is being billed as “the last love story ever told,” we’re going to guess that they don’t meet on OKCupid and that the baggage they bring to the relationship is quite possibly the stability of the known universe. But hey, if the universe is going bye-bye, at least we got an awesome double cover out of it.

Trillium kicks off this Wednesday, so this is your chance to get in from the start. While you’re at it, be sure to pick up the latest issues of Green Arrow (Mr. Lemire’s having quite a busy week!), Green Lantern, Detective Comics, Action Comics, The Movement, the very last issue of Dial H and much, much more!
