As this issue of THE DARK & BLOODY begins, Iris desperately tries to make the Sheriff understand that the two missing locals, Charlie and June Bug, were possessed (demons!?!) and he was forced to kill them. However, not only was Iris the only person to see this, but there are no bodies to prove they died!

The Sheriff and Iris’s wife Sarah fear that war, or PTSD, has finally driven Iris to the breaking point of his sanity, but Iris knows that there is something evil out there, and it’s after him and the rest of his Marine regiment from his tour in Iraq. The only person who might believe him now is the town kook, Elijah.

But Elijah Cooper has already felt the vengeful spirit, and Iris will need to reveal the evils of his past to discover what is coming for him.

Meanwhile, As Shilow, Iris and Sarah’s son, goes exploring with a new friend Ayah, she finally reveals her past and tells him the story of the gruesome death of her parents in Iraq, the home she fled after barely surviving herself.

Then this just happened:

The intertwined connection between Iris and Ayah’s pasts now revealed, the cursed Iraqi girl will seek to hunt down those that murdered her family.
