“When I look at you, I see the story in your eeeeyes…”

If that line has you scratching your head, then you have yet to be exposed to the greatest pop song in the known universe (at least according to Cyborg). We are, of course, talking about “The Night Begins to Shine” by B.E.R., a slice of ’80s-inspired electro-soul that is extremely well known to fans of Teen Titans Go!

Vic Stone’s absolute favorite tune, “The Night Begins to Shine” forms the heart of a spectacular four-part Teen Titans Go! special event that kicks off tonight on Cartoon Network. But even better, it’s now available in three new versions along with two other B.E.R. songs heard in the special thanks to WaterTower Music. The new versions of “The Night Begins to Shine” include brand new recordings by no less than CeeLo Green and Puffy AmiYumi, along with a new remix by B.E.R.

For those who don’t know, “The Night Begins to Shine” made its debut Teen Titans Go! appearance back in the show’s second season, when Cyborg was seen lip-syncing to it in the opening of the “Slumber Party” episode. However, it took on cult status with Teen Titans Go! fans after Season 3’s “40%, 40%, 20%,” which centered entirely around the song, and in which Cyborg revealed that his inner strength comes from the song itself.

In the four-part special, Cyborg finds himself trapped in the alternate reality of the song, doing battle with a dragon who wants to steal the catchy tune for his own nefarious purposes. When the remaining Titans are unable to rescue their teammate on their own, they enlist the help of some widely known pop stars to help them save Cyborg and defeat the dragon…all accompanied to the smooth sounds of our electronic hero’s favorite jam.

But you don’t have to wait until tonight to face the music. The five-song Teen Titans Go!: Songs from The Night Begins to Shine Special is now available through a variety of digital retailers. Though if you prefer to sample before you buy, you can stream the entire collection now on Spotify.

Listen. Enjoy. Maybe even get your dance on. And don’t miss the start of the four-part Teen Titans Go! special event, starting tonight at 6 p.m. (5 p.m. CST) on Cartoon Network!
