This is it! The fight of the galaxy! In green corner, weighing in at about 215, we have the Coast City Cavalier—Hal Jordan! And in the yellow corner, weighing in at—oh, I don’t know and I’m not about to ask the guy—we have the Korugarian Killer, the Face of Fear, the Mustachioed Menace—Sinestro!

Yes, in this week’s HAL JORDAN AND THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS #7, the two friends-turned-foes finally squared off on the surface of Warworld, Sinestro powered by the destructive Fear Engine and Hal charged by the strength of his will alone. It was a breathtaking battle, beautiful rendered by penciller Rafa Sandoval, inker Jordi Tarragona and colorist Tomeu Morey.

Both Lanterns landed powerful blows, and at times it seemed like the Fear Engine would prove to be too much for Hal Jordan. But Sinestro didn’t count on the Green Lantern getting an assist from an unexpected source—his own daughter Soranik. Leading a squadron of rogue Yellow Lanterns, Soranik took down Sinestro’s companion, Lyssa Drak, and dismantled the Fear Engine, allowing Hal Jordan to finally get the upper hand against Sinestro. But this would be no ordinary victory for Mr. Jordan.

Look! Can you believe this just happened?
