Fans attending the Suicide Squad: Most Wanted panel received a guided tour through the world of everyone’s favorite madcap anti-heroine Harley Quinn and her role as part of the most dangerous team in the DC universe, the Suicide Squad, courtesy of the HARLEY QUINN team of Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti and artist Chad Hardin, along with artist Mauricet (HARLEY AND HER GANG OF HARLEYS) in addition to the SUICIDE SQUAD team of Rob Williams, Philip Tan and fan-favorite artist Jim Lee.

With a full house in the San Diego Convention Center’s Room 6DE, Jimmy, Amanda and Chad talked about Harley’s return to Coney Island and what it’s like protecting her neighborhood from a zombie apocalypse while showing off Chad’s incredible art from their debut story arc, “Die Laughing,” with part one hitting stores on August 3 with HARLEY QUINN #1. Fans also got a sneak peek at some early interior art, along with a preview of the covers to issue #2 and issue #3, guest-starring Poison Ivy.

Amanda and Mauricet wowed fans with some beautiful interior art from upcoming issues of HARLEY AND HER GANG OF HARLEYS, talked about what it’s like for Harley to have minions to do her bidding, what’s up with her and her beloved “Mr. J,” and teased more about the mysterious villain Harley Sinn, now that she’s kidnapped Harley Quinn and the Gang’s got to rescue her and bring her home. Fans can find out more when issue #4 hits retailers on August 3.

Also on August 3, Harley will have another new “gang” to hang out with, when SUICIDE SQUAD: REBIRTH explodes onto stands. Writer Rob Williams and artists Philip Tan and Jim Lee revealed to fans why Harley is an important part of this roster of villains-turned-heroes and what it’s like working with a prolific art team like Jim Lee and Philip Tan. As fans were treated to an early look and previews of upcoming covers, they were reminded that they shouldn’t get too comfortable with the roster lineup over time. The book’s not called “Suicide Squad” for nothing…

Fans received more good news that assured them that there would be plenty of “bad” to go around with the Squad when they got a look at some of the latest from the SUICIDE SQUAD MOST WANTED anthology series. Squad members Deadshot and Katana were the first featured in the anthology, and each of their stories are captured in 6-issue collected editions, SUICIDE SQUAD MOST WANTED: DEADSHOT Collected Edition arrives in stores August 3, while SUICIDE SQUAD MOST WANTED: KATANA Collected Edition slices its way into stores on September 14. And for fans curious about long-time Suicide Squad writer John Ostrander, their patience was rewarded when it was revealed that he’ll return to the title for the first time in 10 years on the SUICIDE SQUAD: WAR CRIMES SPECIAL #1, on sale August 31.
