We're going to drop the flag and race ahead for secrets.

Asphalt becomes a weapon as the meta-human Tar Pit causes sticky situations in Central City and puts Iris and Wally in danger. His presence is a distraction to Barry and Harrison, who start closing breaches to Earth-2. Harry tries to keep his true goals from Barry, but he's unable to hold his confession in. That’s funny. We have that same problem…

Here are the #DCTV Secrets from this week's episode:

  • Who is Tar Pit?
  • What's a Scramjet?
  • The only pizza choice

When Danger Gets Gooey

Nothing like getting mired down in a meta-human, am I right? Joey Monteleone, a.k.a. Tar Pit, went through a nasty ordeal to acquire his powers in The Flash, but it wasn't quite the same in the comics. The rogue first appeared in FLASH #174. While stuck behind bars in Iron Heights, Monteleone meditated and realized he could use astral projection to insert his consciousness into inanimate objects. One day, he accidentally projected himself into asphalt. Oops.

His body remained unconscious in his prison cell, but with his mind, Joey formed the molten, burning asphalt into a new, strong being called Tar Pit.

An Extra Oomph for Speed

Wally's all about being fast, and he mentions a "scramjets" booster to Joe and Iris. The name for speed enhancer is inspired by Scramjet. First appearing in SON OF VULCAN #4, the character was part of the Coalition of Crime. They were the enemies of Vulcan, the predecessor to Son of Vulcan Mikey Devante.

Only the Best Pizza Will Do

Easter Egg alert! Or rather, pizza alert! Wait, would Easter Eggs be good on a pizza…? Uh, never mind. Can't believe I even suggested that. Back to the Secrets!

We've already given up the goods on Coast City, but did you know they apparently have the best pizza in the west? We know Barry has made a least one trip in the first season of The Flash to fetch Coast City Pizza, but in "Fast Lane," he must pick up a special order because Joe, Iris, and Wally enjoy the renowned pie while talking about super speed.

See you next week!
