What's in a Name?
Hunter Zolomon is a cool sounding name, but the moniker of Jay Garrick's Earth-1 doppelganger is connected to someone else. Comic book fans will recognize Hunter Zolomon as the secret identity of our Earth's Zoom. (Yes, THAT Zoom.) The name first appeared in THE FLASH: SECRET FILES & ORIGINS #3.
In the comics, Zolomon had a troubled relationship with his parents. That's an understatement, actually, because his father was a serial killer. Zolomon joined the FBI to help stop people like his dad, but transformed into Zoom during an explosion involving the time-traveling cosmic treadmill. The explosion made him very fast by giving him the ability to slow down time relative to himself.
Zoom took it upon himself to create tragedy for Wally West to help that Flash become a better hero. The Flash eventually stopped Zoom by forcing him into a temporal anomaly.

The Future's So Bright Cisco's Gotta Wear Shades
Harrison Wells takes it upon himself to help Cisco access and control his vibing. After using literal scare tactics to trigger Cisco's abilities, Harry tweaks some goggles for Cisco. They allow him to determine how long he'll vibe for. In the comics, Cisco's alter ego Vibe wears glasses as part of his superhero costume. In JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA'S VIBE #1 (co-written by The Flash’s Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns), Vibe explains to his brother Dante that when they're on, his glasses record everything he sees for data collection.
