Curtis Holt is Pretty Terrific

Although Curtis Holt doesn't exist in the comic books, another person with the last name Holt does: Michael Holt, aka Mr. Terrific. First Appearing in SPECTRE #54, Mr. Terrific possesses a genius level intellect (often cited as the Third Smartest Man in the World) and developed the T-Sphere technology that allows him to fight crime both on his own and as part of the Justice Society of America. Curtis shares a lot of similarities with Michael and could very well be on his way to becoming Mr. Terrific.

Let's Create Some Anarky

Lonnie Machin first appeared in comics in DETECTIVE COMICS #608 as an anti-government vigilante. Young but highly intelligent and deeply philosophical, Lonnie Machin developed a strong ethical and apolitical code. Usually appearing as a Batman villain, Anarky sees himself as similar to the Dark Knight but the hero strongly disagrees. The Anarky symbol painted on the van's side in this week's episode definitely showcases Machin's vigilante turn.

Mayor Oliver Queen

The idea of Oliver running for mayor does in fact have some comic book roots. Oliver ran for office following the events of the comic book storyline INFINITE CRISIS and ended up winning. Alternatively, GREEN ARROW: CRAWLING FROM THE WRECKAGE by Judd Winick and Scott McDaniel collects the storyline of Oliver's mayoral debut.

See you next week!
