The Snart Family

Much of the Snarts family history remains intact between the comics and the show—although in the comics, Leonard and Lisa's dad is named Lawrence instead of Lewis. Undoubtedly a terrible father, Lewis' treatment of his children led to the siblings growing very close and Leonard becoming very protective of his younger sister—but also may have led Leonard and Lisa down their criminal paths.

Jay Garrick and the Speed Cannon

Jay Garrick and Cisco calling their invention the Speed Cannon may seem like a fun little joke but some comic fans might recognize the name—and Jay Garrick's history with it. In the comics, scientists from the planet of Savoth developed the cannon to defend his planet from invaders, but it ended up bringing Jay Garrick to the planet instead. However, the cannon technically did its job, as Jay drove away the invaders and saved the planet.

Forget the Cubs and Mets—the Diamonds and Salamanders are Where It's At

The security guards in this week's episode talk about the baseball teams, the Central City Diamonds and the Keystone Salamanders. Both these teams are straight out the comics, with Central City the home of Barry Allen and Keystone City the home of both Jay Garrick and Wally West.

See you next week!
