Who is Albert Rothstein?

Last season he was name-checked as one of the deceased victims of the S.T.A.R Labs disaster, yet here he is in all his massive glory.  DC Comics readers know that the Atom Smasher is a volatile character, sometimes bad, but sometimes good.  In those stories he has been known to dream of glory, and made that dream come true when he was able to join the JSA.  But his hot temper and incredible strength often puts him at odds with those who are supposed to be his friends.  His superpowers let him grow in strength and density to the size of his choosing.  Should make for a huge problem for Team Flash!
